IPCI had the privilege of hosting dynamic scholar Mr. Fadel Soliman on a short lecture tour of Kwa-Zulu Natal between the 26th & 28 May 2007. He gave talks to Dawah workers in Escourt and also addressed a public gathering at the IPCI headquarters. His talk was based on “how to respond in the face of a hostile Media?” Mr. Fadel Soliman conducts workshops throughout the world and his presentations are done in a professional manner. He is willing to train Muslims on how to do dawah to non-Muslims and is passionate of addressing non-Muslims He is keen on conducting future workshops in South Africa before the 2010 World Cup soccer wherein people will be trained to do effective dawah during this period. Escourt – Wembezi Townshop
On the 29 of April, the IPCI team spearheaded by Director of Dawah Brother Rafeek Hassen conducted a lecture tour Wembezi Township Hall, in Escourt “Islam the Religion of Jesus” in the Bible and the Quran” The talk was well attended by the people from the townships. IPCI’s Comparative Religion students also distributed literature to the people. The programme was co-hosted by the Escourt Islamic Centre.
Dawah to Westville Prisons
Rafeek Hassen delivered a talk to the prisoners on the 25 April 2007 and IPCI gave out copies of the book Ubhaqa and other Free literature.

Dawah Quran Project (clearing the Misconceptions of Islam)
The IPCI team visited over 25 companies in the last 2 months, and spoke to approximately 500 non-Muslim staff about Islam. This is an ongoing project and if you are keen on the IPCI team to visit your business establishment and speak to your non-Muslim staff, please contact our offices.
Mosque Tours / Group Tours / School Tours
- 200 people were taken on a free guided tour to the Grey Street Masjd. These included people from different countries from around the world
like, Russia, Japan, USA, United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Italy, France
- 35 Learners from Ixopo State Aided School were taken on a free guided tour and were presented with books on Islam
- 15 French speaking Christian Missionaries from around Africa were taken on a tour and had discussions on the 3rd floor on Islam, French books were presented to them & a copy of the Dawah Quran
- Educational Tour of the Mosque by the representative of Tourist Junction 10 people
- Phandpansi School – Transkei 300 pupils
- Sri Sathya Sai Baba Organization
If you have non-Muslim friends or business friends who want to know more about Islam, invite them for a Mosque Tour. The IPCI will arrange the entire tour which includes and Audio-Visual Presentation on Islam.
Reversions
19 people embraced Islam at the Centre during this period. Once they embrace Islam at the Centre, they join the Introduction to Islam classes.
Revert Classes (Monday to Friday)
30 new Muslims completed are currently enrolled for the (introduction to Islam) classes and will complete their course on the 29th of June 2007. Once they complete this course, they are introduced to the Advanced Module.
Saturday Classes

COMPARATIVE RELIGION (Monday to Fridays)
10 learners are currently enrolled in the full-time Comparative Religion Course which runs for a duration of 2 months. The learners consist of local & international students.
