CHRISTIAN & MUSLIMS FIND COMMON GROUND…

The Islamic Propagation Centre Intenrnational (IPCI) held its first ever Public program in Port Shepstone this Friday, 22 June 2007 at the Port Shepstone Civc Hall.

The Topic advertised was ‘DID JESUS(PBUH)PREACH ISLAM OR CHRISTIANITY” by Rafeek Hassen, Director of Propagation at the Islamic Propagation Centre International.

For the Centres first Public outreach in Port Shepstone the response was extremely good. The speaker delivered an excellent talk wherein he expounded that JESUS said many times in the Bible that I am a SERVANT OF GOD.

He went on to prove that JESUS (pbuh) said: “THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN” This, Rafeek Hassen say’s that ISLAM means submission to the will of GOD. JESUS (PBUH) said “THY WILL BE DONE EARTH” this means JESUS preached SUBMISSION to GOD’s WILL.


AT the QUESTION and ANSWER time, in response to a questionaire, Rafeek Hassen replied: “SHOW ME A VERSE IN THE BIBLE, BY JESUS (PBUH) HIMSELF, SAYING, I AM GOD” RAFEEK HASSEN SAID THAT “THERE IS A LOT OF SIMLIARITIES BET WEEN THE MUSLIM BELIEF IN JESUS (Pbuh) AND THE CHRISTIAN BELIEVE IN JESUS(Pbuh) AND WEE NEED TO FIND COMMON GROUND.”
