Dr. Abdur Rahman Mihaffy presents IPCI with a copy of the First Quran translated into the Hungarian language

Born Milhaffy Balazs in Budapest, communist Hungary,
Dr Abdurahman’s journey to Islam is an amazing an inspiring one that has to be shared to be appreciated.

At his talk recently at the, He stated that he first contact with the Arabic Language was with a group of Sudanese students at the Agricultural University of Budapest.,

He began studying Arabic and the Holy Quran even before embracing Islam. It took him 8 years to complete the translation of the Holy Quran.

He began the task of Translating the Quran when he went to Egypt to study at Al Azhar. After two years at Al Azhar and completing approximately half the Hungarian translation of the Quran, he then embraced Deen Al Islam. It took him 8 years to complete the entire translation of the Holy Quran.

He gives a beautiful analogy about his transition. He stated that a child first learns to scream, then say a few words and thereafter learns to speak. His journey to Islam has been the same. He said that it has been the Quran and the awe inspiring manner in which the Quran has been written that it awakened in him the realization that this book is unique and could have only originated from a higher authority.

He pointed out that there is a dire need for this translation and felt that coming from a European background, that the people of Europe are very materialistic inclinded and therefore this translation will aid in the promotion of the spiritual side of life.

During his talk, Dr AbdurRahman replied enigmatically to a question from a member of the audience on sectarianism, segregation and racism. He stated that he has found that in the House of Islam, Muslims should concentrate on their TAQWA, as TAQWA is independent of colour or creed.

The IPCI wishes Dr AbdurRahman all the best in his endeavors and that he remain an inspiration to all new Muslims of what one can achieve with limited resources. Alhumdullilah.

Inter-Faith Dialogue With The Students From USA Whitworth University.

21 university students and 5 faculty members from the university of whitworth were taken on a free guided tour of the grey street mosque on saturday the 21 january 2006 the professor mr. John yoder stated via e-mail that “we are a christian university so it is always good to talk to people who worship the same god”

An interesting point of note during the mosque tour was when the head of the delegation professor yoder requested the director of ipci, mr. Rafeek hassen to pray for the students who were from jewish & christian backgrounds.

The second request from the delegation was that when the next group arrives next year, they will like to live for three days and interact and learn the believe system and live like muslims with a muslim family.

This will be coordinated by the IPCI.

CARTOONS AND HYPOCRISY

Much damage, hatred and false impressions against Islam and its founder, the Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) has been done by Rose Flemming who commissioned the drawing of the defamatory cartoons, the Jyllands-Posten newspaper for publishing it, other papers in Europe for reproducing it and the Danish Government for defending this highly immoral, unethical and democratically unacceptable and inflammatory act, under the garb of ‘freedom of expression’.When Rose was asked by Christopher Bollyn of the American Free Press:

‘If the issue is really one of free speech, would you publish cartoons making fun of the Jewish Holocaust?" I asked Rose and the editors. "If not, do you at least support the right of newspapers and individuals to raise historical questions about the Holocaust?" Yet after a month of correspondence with Rose and the editors, they have completely avoided answering my questions about the Holocaust and the right of free speech for historical revisionists in Europe.’

Ernst Zundel, Germar Rudolf and David Irving are still serving time in jail in Europe for their views about the holocaust. Why doesn't the press support Zundel's, Rudolf's, Irving's, or Garaudy's right to free speech? Double standards you think ? No it goes deeper than that.

This is plain hatred for Islam and Muslims and the motive behind the cartoons was nothing but inciting anger of the Muslim world . The Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) is dearer to Muslims than their own parents and selves. This ghastly cartoon ploy is like pouring petrol (gasoline) onto a fire, and when the flames go up, Rose and his hypocritical cronies flash the scenes of burning embassies and violent demonstrations on their propaganda box and propaganda papers with the message ‘ we told you Islam and Muslims are violent people, can’t you see’. Sounds like a smart ploy does it not ? No! Fortunately the law of news media states that ‘you can bluff some of the people some of the time, but not all the people all the time’. Fortunately there are people unlike Rose and his cronies, people who are not Muslim but who have attested to the impeccable character of the Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) as a man of peace, tolerance, truthfulness and compassion . Michael H Heart an American in his book The Top Hundred leaders the world had ever seen, placed the Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) as number 1. Julius Massermann, another American scientist in Time Magazine of 15 July 1974 which carried an article on What make a great leader, ranked the Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) as number 1 the greatest leader the world has ever seen.

There are many more like them. (Booklet available FREE to all from the IPCI) Perhaps it is this fact that is upsetting Rose and his cronies. If it is, then the advise to them is, ‘don’t whine and grime on the way side, join the rest of your world who are increasingly believing in the Prophet of Islam. Mr Rose & Co., despite all your vile antics, Islam is still the fastest growing religion in the world .We invite you to cast down your prejudice and accept this fact; and if your heart can be cleansed even more – become part of it.
