SHAIKH AHMED DEEDAT (1918-2005)
One of the most notable & recognizable personalities in the global Dawah sector in the past 50 years or more as undoubtedly Shaikh Ahmed Deedat. He had dedicated more than 40 years of his life presenting Islam, mainly to non-Muslims across the world; published over 20 books and distributed millions of copies of these free of charge. He had delivered thousands of lectures all over the world and successfully engaged some of the world’s leading Christian Evangelists in public debates.
Several thousand people have come into the fold of Islam through Allah’s Grace and as a result of these efforts. In a fitting tribute to this achievement, he was awarded the King Faisal International award in 1986, a prestigious recognition of the value of his Dawah efforts in the world of Islam. Shaikh Deedat passed away on the 8th of August 2005 / 2 Rajab 1426. This was after succumbing to a severe stroke that left him paralyzed for more than nine years.
We take great pleasure in informing you that the Biography of Sheikh Ahmed Deedat is close to completion and printing, and we hope, insha Allah to have a global launch in 2011. This will be the first-ever documented work on the life and times of this servant of Islam which the IPCI will be publishing. One of the key aims of the book is to inspire the contemporary generation of Muslims about the life, challenges and work of this world-renown Da’ee. Further, the documenting of his life and work is also about taking the responsibility of recording our own current history for the Muslim Ummah globally.

Assalamualaikum. As a huge fan of the late Shaikh Ahmed Deedat, this upcoming biography of him would be something that I’d love to have an own. Through watching Ahmed Deedat, the position and majesty of Islam in my mind and heart has been returned to it’s rightful place. I knew little abt Islam. Alhamdulillah, I belief I’m able to receive whatever Ahmed Deedat has been trying to convey… hopes of producing many more Deedats fellow.. his lectures, obviously entertaining, main purpose was not as a form of entertainment but as an example for e rest who can stand to reason to follow; help as a tool. I would to give my thanks to all involved in materialising the biography of Shaikh Ahmed Deedat…
Assalamualaikum. Alhmadulilah its nice to see the website has improved, it looks more professional and organised, may Allah give IPCI more strength inshallah. Sheikh Ahmed Deedat was a ledgend, there simply isnt any one like him around, he was a unique character and the muslim ummah misses him so much. We love him so much and he is always in our prayers.
May Allah swt have mercy on his soul, forgive him, reward him for all his efforts and grant him Jannah firduas Inshallah. Ameen.

Assalamu’alaykum brothers n sisters..I’d like to share my personal journey in still becoming a Muslim up to this day..and it’s all started around the year of 2003, the time when i seriously doubted my own beliefs(Islam) why? Because I’m victim of such thing called “The Western Propaganda”. They’ve managed to make the world believed that Islam was just a bunch of TERRORISTS n likes to have many wives etc. One day i came across this book which entitled : “THE CHOICE”(Islam n Christian Dialogue) by Ahmed Deedat, and later I’ve been able to discover him in action debating priest after priest through videos..I jus wanna say Syukur Alhamdulillah Ya ALLAH for sending this Great Man to our lives! Thanks to Shaikh Ahmed Deedat I’m still Muslims till now, n hopefully would be till the day I die(as Khusnul Chatimah) Ameen Allahuma Ameen

Sheikh Deedat was born to do what he did which was to inject some enthusiam and pride into the musslim ummah which has become weak and apologetic and suffering from inferiority complex. Sheikh Deedat has made the muslims proud to be followers of prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.
