Mosque Tours

205 = people where taken on a Mosque Tour. These were from the different countries like = Sweden, Germany, France, Holland, Beligium. Group tours included Missionaries from= United States, 6 Jour= nalist from United Kingdom On Wednesday the 15 of March 2006 a group of Christian Missionaries from the Congo visited the Mosque & also had a dialogue with the Director on the 3rd floor. These were French speaking missionaries and the head of the delegati= on translated discussions from English to French. They were impressed with the reception received and would encourage future tours. “Tempete Du Dessert which is the French translation of t= he booklet “Christ in Islam” were given to them. Hot on their lips= was the “Cartoon Issue” we also handed them copies of Muhammed No: 1 in French.

S= CHOOL VISITS

Duri= ng the 1st term very few schools go on an excursion but Ahamd= ulillah two schools visited the Centre one had to be cancelled due to them requesti= ng same on a Friday. However a Hindu religious School Aum= Shri Sai Ram –= ; Verulam visited the Mosque and IPCI and where shown t= he documentary on Islam on the 2^nd Floor. The topic of this inter-f= aith dialogue was “The relevance of the Quran = in our Daily Lives” total number 65.

J= UMMAH TALKS

We c= over mosque & Jamaat Khanas= in the following areas currently, Phoenix, Chatsworth, Umgeni, Overpo= rt, Pinetown, Chatsworth, Durban North, North Beach, Marianridge, Bonella, Umbilo. The list of Masjid= is expanding and at times our students are used to give talks. We have recently added the Pinetown Jamaat (Motala Farm) our on list. We also arranged platforms for the Guest from Cape Town who arrived for a meeting with Sanzaf. They were given opportunities to lecture in Nor= th Beach, = Mobeni He= ights, Spar= ks Road.

O= UTREACH

Rafeek Hassen&#= 8217;s (director) trip to Senegal to launch Tafseer.

Our students who are currently= doing attending the Full time Compartive Course condu= cted Dawah outreach programmes= in the kwa-Mashu & Bonella a= reas. Free literature “Yini Ubu Islam(What Is Islam) were given to people and al= so one on one Dawah carried out. These programmes are conducted during the weekend and the response from = these areas were positive. As a long term plan, all learners attending fut= ure full time course will be requested to carry out these outreaches.
